Private donations from individuals, corporations and foundations are vital to our work, as Woodley House is reimbursed only 73 cents for every dollar of care we provide. We greatly appreciate the generosity of our friends and supporters – we couldn’t do what we do without you. Yet there are many other ways you can help: sign up on our mailing list, attend our annual movie benefit or support our growing number of volunteer activities.
We also welcome donations of household items and some furniture for our residents of our apartment program. Our on-line ‘WISH LIST’ with www.amazon.com is updated frequently with items that we need. With three homes and a number of apartments, there are always things on our Wish List!
As we read about cuts to mental health systems across the country, it is particularly gratifying that Woodley House continues to offer the critical services that men and women with mental illness need … affordable, caring housing and clinical support. Woodley House is an important resource for the District of Columbia and our area residents with mental illness. We greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word about the great work that we have been doing for the past 55 years. And if there are other ways you would like to help, contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 202-830-3508.
