February 23, 2026: Four years ago, Woodley House pledged that we would more than double the number of people we serve annually by the end of this decade. But we didn’t imagine how quickly or dramatically the community need would grow.
We’re proud to say that Woodley House supported 602 individuals across our programs in 2025, which is twice the number we served just three years ago (see graph below). This is also the most individuals ever served by Woodley House in a single year.
How did we reach this milestone? In 2025, Woodley House continued to operate all of our long-term housing programs, crisis services, support services and food pantry. A few highlights:
- We served 109 households through our Permanent Supportive Housing program, including 101 children. Many of these families are moving into their first home after a period of homelessness or instability.
- We welcomed 110 individuals to our crisis stabilization home, Crossing Place. These are men and women experiencing psychiatric crisis, in need of intensive care to help them regain a measure of stability in their lives.
- We fulfilled 1,061 orders through our food pantry. This represents a 60% increase over orders filled the year before. We’re expanding the pantry’s capacity to reach more neighbors struggling with food insecurity.
Supporters of Woodley House share in our achievement: Your generosity helps us hire and retain terrific staff, maintain the beauty of our homes, and fill our pantry shelves. As the community need continues to grow in 2026 and beyond, Woodley House will step up to serve even more Washingtonians who face mental illness and the risk of homelessness.
